Education: Trade qualification as an Automotive Spray Painter
Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience in 2 pack epoxy primer and topcoat, including mixing and application.
Other Requirements
Must have IELTS overall 5 points with a minimum of 4.5 in each of the four test components to consider for Australian vacancies (IELTS is not necessary for vacancies in New Zealand).
In addition to test results you will need exceptional command of English to manage operations and communicate with the team.
Income
Based on skills, you will earn a minimum of AUD 53,900 per annum in Australia or a minimum of NZD 43,000 per annum in New Zealand.
Reports to: Workshop Manager.
Skills
Applying paint and industrial coatings to vehicles as part of panel beating and repair process, and/or for decorative purposes.
Inspecting vehicle surface for any rough spots requiring sanding or treatment.
Mixing and preparing paint for application which may involve the use of computerized technologies.
Powder-coating vehicles, checking the quality and depth of paintwork and polishing the finished product.
Knowledgeable to use a full paint extraction system, with the latest in safety equipment, including a fully aspirated breathing apparatus.
Keen eye for details and pride in one’s workmanship.
Good sense of high quality standards of work at all times and strong commitment to achieving total customer satisfaction.
